Post by: Erato on Friday 19 December 25 15:53 GMT (UK)
I am looking for an obituary of Dr. Arpin Foster published in the Seattle Daily Times on 21 October 1935.  Arpin Foster was born in 1869 in De Witt, Clinton County, Iowa, and died on 19 October 1935 in Richmond Beach, King County, Washington.

Thanks, Sandra.  Not as informative as I was hoping.  I wanted to find out where he went to medical school.

Fabulous!  Another one to add to my collection of rogues, fraudsters, con artists, quacks and vendors of snake oil.  He's just connected by marriage so he's only worth half a point but still, every little bit helps.  Thanks, dbree.

Maybe I'm being a little unfair to Arpin.  Despite being called "Dr." in his obituary, he seems to have pursued a different career path, and that may have drastically curtailed his profits from quackery.

1900 - not found
1910 - laborer, odd jobs
1920 - salesman, retail hardware
1930 - watchman, oil plant
