Am I missing something?
Deaths registered in 2020 don't appear to gave date of birth against them, is it me ?

Are you looking on GRO online?  If so - it only ever gives the birthyear

Yes I am, I can't even find a birth for this person  born 1933 on 1939, still pursuing  other avenues.

If you are lucky you may find it on Findmypast. They are not all on there but a friend of mine died in 2021  it gives her full death date also a full birth date in 1929.

Can't find her on FindMyPast, this family is not straight forward at all,  stayed up far to late searching and couldn't get to sleep till 3am, that will teach me.

The Ancestry ones go up to 2007 I think, and should give full DOB from 1969-2007, but for 2008 onwards, they are on GRO but give just year of birth. As said there is another index taken from service cards, obituaries and other info etc which is on FindMyPast. I found one for a 2021 death which gave his full DOB.

Some libraries and archive offices have post 2007 GRO death indexes which give full DOB, such as Westminster Archives. I visited there in May this year to get a full DOB for a distant relative born in 1927 who died in 2009.

SO for 2020 deaths for full DOB you'd have to go to one of these libraries, or maybe TNA in Kew.

Thank you, she isn't on 2020 FindMyPast, I will now bide my time hoping  that the family concerned will get more info,  why do I get asked to do these things,  second line of thus family that has given me a headache, all free of charge.

Worth checking obituaries on  https://funeral-notices.co.uk/ have occasionally found some gems of information.
