My Great Grandad John Docherty was born Abt 1862 in Enniskillen, Fermanagh, Ireland, and died 28 December 1930 40 Millroad Street, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.

The RDC was as its name suggests all about defending key points and infrastructure. They also guarded POW camps. As such there are no war diaries because they were in the UK. Your man is typical of their soldiers: overage and probably not medically fit enough for the front line so put in the RDC.
