Can anyone tell me the maiden name for Violets mother?
I'm seeing Coy?
However I'm sure i had her listed else where as Mccaw?
Thankyou

Mary Sherman formerly McCoy, sometimes written as M'Coy.

Agree with Eyesee.
McCoy

Thankyou!
Would this be different from Mccaw?
-
Added the marriage to my post.
The registrar or vicar/priest would probably have written down what he heard.
Lots of names can have various spellings.

Maybe check the entry that mentions McCaw, to see if it's in fact McCoy
Or as Eyesee mentioned, McCoy here may have been written down as it was heard

Eyesee,
Thankyou so much. Must have missed the link when I first looked.

Was trying to find their move to Glasgow so perhaps I need to search both names
-
Her death was listed as mccaw that's why I was confused
