Hello all,
I'm new to Rootschat.com and would like to say hi.
I'm researching my grandmother's family history as she herself says she doesn't think she has much longer :'( and I'd love to find a photograph of Possil Park Parish church in its original form where her own parents were married in 1930. A google search only has a modern looking building which it is hard to imagine being the same place.
A search on Newspapers.com only turned up a closing service in the late 1980s so I am hoping someone has something they could share from before then?
Many thanks in anticipation of any replies :)
Take care,
Suzi

Hi, and welcome to RootsChat :)
Have you thought about asking the Glasgow City Archives if they have a photo of the church?

Hi Forfarian, and thank you for welcoming me.
No, I hadn't thought of asking them. Thank you for the link, I'll see if they can help and I'll post an update here if I get anywhere 😊bw, Suzi

Would any relatives have photographs of the wedding that might show it?

There is a picture of it on the Virtual Mitchell site.
I've checked nls maps and this is shown as the site of Possilpark Parish Church on the 1969 map.
