Title: Dyfed Family History Society
Post by: SourceySian on Thursday 20 November 25 19:31 GMT (UK)
Hi, is anybody a subscribed member?

I met them at an exhibition at the Llandovery Sheep Festival in September and they had about their persons a booklet containing a register of all burials in Llansadwrn.  :o

They kindly helped me find a burial date for my 3x great grandmother which led to a few other discoveries.

I would quite like to have eyes on that intel again, and also baptisms. Does anybody know if it's available on their website please?

Haha yeah I fell for that one too! It turns out Llansadwrnen is a village a mile outside of Laugharne. No I'd never heard of it before either!

As it isn't in the shop, I wondered if there was something accessible to members. There must be...  I've seen it... How do I go about getting it?  :-\

Try contacting DyfedFHS, they should tell you what's available

Have you tried FreeReg,

https://www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/CMN/Llansadwrn

Genuki states what DyfedFHS has and NLW

Yes I tried contacting them directly a few times after I realised my mistake in paying for the register for Llansadwrnen but had no reply, so I was hoping I'd get lucky and find someone active in the society on this board.

Even if I'm not allowed another peek at their register, maybe someone would be able to tell me where they sourced their info from.

In the meantime I'll try those links on the genuki site, thanks for that  :)

Edit: Hush my mouth I had a reply this morning  ;D

Absolutely it would! Is that viewable online, or would I need to go to Aberystwyth?
