I don`t really know how to explain this but here goes. ;)
The split screen has stopped working .
If I click minimise then the screen just closes , site is still open but I have to go to the Google icon in the taskbar to find it.
I cant` drag website addresses to the screen to create a shortcut because there is no where for them to go.
The split screen has worked in the past , and I used it a lot. I`m lost without it.
I am on Windows 10 . Google Chrome. Desktop PC.
Thanks.

Try using another Browser.
Firefox is my preferred Browser on my Win 11 PC.

Thanks, I'll have a try out later.
I have restarted it a couple of times if that's what reboot is. 😉

It seems that there are two different methods of split view
1 using Windows own built in system
Enabling the Snap Feature (If Needed)
The Snap feature should be enabled by default in Windows 10, but if it's not working, you can check the settings:
Go to Settings (Windows key + I) > System > Multitasking.
Under the "Snap windows" section, ensure the main toggle switch is turned On.
For the full "Snap Assist" experience, also ensure that "When I snap a window, show what I can snap next to it" is checked
2. Chromes new Split screen system introduced earlier this year although rather than having two separate windows open this system has two windows open inside a single Chrome Tab
