So I'm looking into John Gallon b 1841 Felling Shore & his son Thomas in particular b 1866 John was a Shipping Clerk then Shop keeper. He married Sarah Jane Robson 1862.
For John I have 1871, 1881,1891,1901 census & Thomas 1881,1891,1901,1911 ,1921.
Thomas is missing on the 1871 with John & Sarah Jane
1861 for John is a train wreck

Any help appreciated thanks

1871 - Thomas is easily found with his Robson grandparents.
Re the other children in 1861. Check back to 1851 census then use GRO online to check for Gallon births with mmn Robson

A quick look at the later census returns shows John Gallon consistently says he was born c 1840 at Felling Shore.
That birth reg with mmn Purdom was in Q2 1842, so a little late plus it was registered in Durham & Lanchester which doesn't cover FellingShore. https://www.ukbmd.org.uk/reg/districts/durham.html
I can't see a likely birth registration for him in Gateshead District (or anywhere else) but I did find a possible baptism and from there I think the following may be possible - though the confirmation would be what name and occupation of his father on the 1862 marriage certificate to Sarah Jane Robson. The census returns are transcripts only on FS, but the info will allow you to find them and get the images if you, or your library, have access to FindMyPast or Ancestry. I'd advise always looking at the images if possible as transcripts may be inaccurate.
NB this is just 'possible', you'd need to check it out carefully. I'm as capable of taking a wrong turn as anyone :-)

According to The Lost Mills by Jean V Stirk, a mill at Felling Shore was probably established as early as c1750. After various mishaps (fires)...
From 1826, Fellingshore Mill producing brown paper was occupied by Messrs. Thomas Gallon & Co as tenants of Sir Robert Hawks, from whom Thomas Gallon bought it in 1860.
