Can anyone please help with the name of Mary Shaw's parents ?
-
If I'm looking at the right place: James Shaw and Christina Turner
-
That's what i thought but is there another name under that??
-
The last line in the box could be: M.S. McFarlane (deceased)
M.S. usually means Maiden Surname.

Thankyou that was what i noted down just wasn't 100% sure. Eyes are not what they used to be lol

To me it looks like Christina Turner then next line formerly Sha*d, and last line MS McFarlane (deceased)

That is what I thought also - Christina Turner formerly Shaw, like the person writing it down made a mistake and put her names in reverse order. I think the mark that looks like a "d" could be a blot on the image, but not sure.

Yes it could be a flourish on the w, looking at Glasgow on the record it has the same twirl.
