I am trying to find more information about Margaret Jane Parry, who I believe was born abt 1860, but I don't know where. She married William Edmunds on 28th November 1881 at the Register Office in Methryr Tydfil when she was 21 years old. She was living at the King's Head in Dowlais at the time of her marriage to William aged 28 and a coal haulier. He was living at Sand Street, Dowlais. Her father was named Thomas Parry (deceased at the time of her marriage), a farm labourer. I believe Margaret and William had three daughters - Mary born 31st March 1882 at 3 Castle Street, Dowlais, Glamorgan, Margaret Jane Edmunds born 1884 and Catherine Ann born 31st March 1886 at 18 Wind Street, Dowlais, Glamorgan. I found William, Mary, Margaret and Catherine on the 1891 Census lodging with Thomas Evans and family at 42 Castle Street - there is no sign of Margaret Jane and the census appears to suggest William is married not widowed. I think I have found Catherine on the 1901 Census working as a servant to Dan Davies at the White Horse at Cefn Coed. But I haven't found William, Mary or Margaret on the 1901 Censuses (although Margaret may have married George Williams, in 1903 but I haven't bee able to confirm that 100%). There is a Death Certificate for a Margaret Edmunds aged 29 the wife of William Edmunds coal miner at 34 Bute Street Aberdare, but again I am not 100% sure this is her. The names and date of death tie in with the fact I couldn't see her on the 1891 Census and the birth of her daughters. Can anyone help me solve the mystery?
Many thanks in advance

Hopefully I have attached the marriage certificate below.
-
What was the date on the death you found?
William obviously should be a widower not married on the next census - unless he remarried.
-
Oophs sorry - the date of death was 20th July 1887.
-
Thanks, she certainly goes missing from the children’s lives doesn’t she.
Do you know when her husband died in case they are buried together?
When was the youngest child born?
-
Catherine was born 31st March 1886 at Wind Street, Dowlais - I haven't found when William died yet either - too many William Lewis possibilities. Was hoping that his daughter's might lead me to him but not yet.
-
I was hoping the birth address for the youngest would match the death address you have but that would be too easy!
-
Indeed it would - I was hoping the same- I have just come to a dead end for now. Maybe in my sleep I will find a way to get to some more information. :)
-
If we could find another Margaret Jane Edmunds with husband William to account for the death you found it would certainly help.
Problem is like your couple they may not have been married by 1881 :-\
Sorry just noticed the death was just Margaret not Margaret Jane?
