This death certificate relates to Louis Phillipart. It also shows his wife Anne Marie Mathieu. Can I ask does it suggest she was still alive.
-
I'm not sure if I have the details completely correct, but it doesn't mention Louis as a widow
....Jean François Phillippart, aged fifty-nine years, farmer, and Jean Joseph Dufays, aged forty-three years, farmer, residing in this commune.
Who have declared to us that Louis Phillippart, aged forty-nine years, farmer, residing in Amberloup,
born in Tournay, husband of Anne Marie Mathieu
-
OK many thanks, looks that his wife was still alive at his death.
-
Just as an extra detail, his birthplace is actually given as Tonny, which is a hamlet close to Amberloup

I'll do a bit of digging to see if I can find Anne Marie Mathieu's death record.
I had a look at an index of the Amberloup parish church's records and it seems that she married Jean Louis Philippart on September 24th 1780.
And that they had six children between 1781 and 1798.
It also seems to indicate the Anne Marie was baptised (or born?) on 23rd March 1758, presumably in Amberloup. I'll try to find out more about that as well.

Can confirm that marriage date. Here's a link:

Edited: hard to read everything in the document, but the groom was a widower and a native of what seems like Limont(?) in the province of Limbourg, a labourer residing in Tonni. He is officially a "major", as in above age. The details of his previous wife are hard to make out: M. ?. Gobert? of Tonni.
The bride is originally from Tonni and a "minor", accompanied by her father Mathias Mathieu, a labourer from Tonni.
Edited again: His previous wife was Maria Joseph Gobert, who died at Tonni on 11th September 1779
Edited again again: Link to his previous marriage: https://agatha.arch.be/data/images/521/521_0846_000_00015_000/0_0013_r

....Jean François Phillippart, aged fifty-nine fifty-two years, farmer, and Jean Joseph Dufays, aged forty-three years, farmer, residing in this commune.
Who have declared to us that Louis Phillippart, aged forty-nine eighty years (quatre vingt ans), farmer, residing in Amberloup, Amberloux
born in Tournay Tonny, husband of Anne Marie Mathieu
Tonny is a hamlet of Amberloup (spelled Amberloux in this record). Both are part of Sainte-Ode.

Just found this…which seems to be a death of child for Louis Philippart & Maria Joseph Gobert but finding it difficult to read.
Thanks for other details which are great.
Ps. Looking at the document again it seems to give 2 dates…10 ? 1779 & 11 ? 1779, would that be birth & death. And there seems to be a name Barbara ?
-
It is the death of an unnamed son.
The 10th September 1779 at 10pm, a son of Louis Philippart and Marie Joseph Gobert died in Tonni and was buried on the 12th. The part that looks like 'Barbara' is, I think, information about the burial location.
The mother died the next day (hence the 11th) and was also buried on the 12th.

Many thanks for clearing that up for me, greatly appreciated.
