New search beginning for William 1853  :Davis possibly Pain


1. William Payne DAVIS. Born in 1853 in Dudley. William died in 1856 in 1857 Dudley; he was 3.

There won't be much to find if he died age 3  :-\

Are you looking to confirm his birth?

What are all the different spellings please how the births were registered?

I can't see a registration for this one under PAYNE

If you want to “update the info about William b 1853 d 1857” it suggests you doubt the validity of the info so have you not checked for his birth or death to confirm he existed?

If you are also looking to update the names with the emojis - you can do that by using freebmd to check for marriages & deaths & then check them on the various censuses which are free on Family Search

You can use GRO online to check Davis/Woodall births from 1.7.1837 when Civil Reg was introduced

I think possibly the emojis were caused by typing ? ? ? ? (without spaces)- with spaces you get ????

Yes, the emojis were caused by typing Sorry Yes, I have revisited William after many years and need to establish any facts and his inclusion. Noahs Father was also given as being William.

Have you looked for a birth or death for him?

Quite a number of births for that name in the Dudley RD so you would be better using GRO online to look for Davis births with mmn Woodall from 1852-1855

There is one b Dec qtr 1854.  You can download a digital copy of the birth cert to check parents names.  There is also a Joseph Edward Davis 1852 mmn Woodall

Just seen on GRO( diff names creating difficulties) with varity of spelling unless confirmed with marriages etc
