Hi,

1851 Census

Could anyone please help I am looking for William Mullen/Mullins  b abt 1813 in Dublin his wife Mary b abt 1819 and children
Luke b abt 1840
William b abt 1842
Elizabeth b  abt 1844
Michael b abt 1846
Edward b abt 1849

Williams occupation in 1861 was a button Maker and he was living in Hospital Street Aston

Any help greatly appreciated.

Here they are:- William Mullen 38 button burnisher born ireland  Mary 31 Button cutter, born Ireland, Margaret 13 button presser, born Ireland, Luke 11 buttonmaker, born ireland, William 9 Errand boy, born ireland, Elizabeth 7, Michael 5, Edward 2, John 5(could be months) all born Birmingham, Also in the household Margaret MaGee 50 w Mother in law born Ireland and John MaGee 15 Brother in law Buttonfinisher born ireland.   Census address Lower Tower Street 28 Ct 4 H, Birmingham.   carol

William Mullen and Mary (nee Magee) are my 3rd great grandparents.

I'd be grateful if anyone can trace their marriage and families back to Ireland (both b. Dublin abt. 1813, 1819 stated in 1861 census).

From their children's birth places it seems they moved to Birmingham abt. 1843.

They were probably Catholic as their daughter Margaret married Thomas Taylor at St. Chads Cathedral (Catholic Church) B'ham in 1859.
