Hello,I really hope someone can help me please,I have been researching my wife's family tree and I have hit a dead end,I am hopefully looking for the parents of James Griffin,we think he was born in Rowley Regis around 1816,he married a lady called Nancy, sorry do not know her surname,we believe they had several children including Ruth, born Rowley Regis 1851,Benjamin born Rowley Regis 1849,Delilah born Rowley Regis 1843 and Solomon born halesowen 1845,they also had Elizabeth,Ann and John....James may have remarried Mary Ann Brettle and had several more children, thank you for any information anyone can give me,kindest regards Dean

James Griffiths married Nancy Parkes in 1840 in Halesowen.
In 1841 they are living in Halesowen. James is a nailor. Living next door are John and Mary Parkes, who might be Nancy's parents.
James then married Mary Ann Brettel in 1855 in Dudley. She may have also been widowed.
The marriage records will show the name and occupation of his father.
-
Census records suggest that James was born in Dudley around 1816.
There is a possible baptism there in 1816 with parents Thomas and Mary Ann, but you need to see James ‘ marriage records to know the name of his father.

Hello neale1961,thank you for looking for and finding James and Mary Brettle, there marriage certificate,it was nice to find out that James father was also James,I have just tried to find out about him with no luck except his wife may have been Sarah, sorry to ask but would you have any information on James senior, this family tree has been a real struggle, kindest regards Dean
-
The only information about the father, James, is what was on the marriage certificate.
I would suggest you obtain the record for the first marriage, and see if the same information or more is available. Also have a look at witnesses to both marriages, as sometimes these are family members.

Will do,thank you for messaging me back, kindest regards Dean
