Is there anyone who could take a photograph of a grave in Devizes Cemetery for me?
-
Have you checked the find a grave site to see if there is a photo on there?
-
Typo corrected in the subject. In case anyone searches for it one day
Update: except it didn't correct the original... Graham, it might still let you.

I'll be in Devizes at some point this month.
Point me in the direction of the grave and maybe I'll find it.

The grave I am looking for is Arthur James Hiscock who died on 5.4.1974. The location I have been given by the local authority is EX-S37 but they cannot confirm there is a headstone.

Hiya.
Is there a plan of the cemetery plot numbers. I just looked, it's huge and photos show quite unkempt headstones overgrown everywhere etc. I have a bit of a breathing problem. In the absence of a plan I'd be lost. Cheers . Jim

I sent an enquiry to ask about a map/locations but haven’t had a reply.
Chased it up again this morning so will keep you posted.
I can still go on the 24th or 25th Nov as have appointments in Devizes on both days.

There is a map here
https://www.devizes-tc.gov.uk/burial-options-map/
Were they able to tell you if the grave was in sole occupancy or give you any indication as to who else was in with him

grahamila, have you considered posting your request on the findagrave website where people may have knowledge as to where they can locate the grave area.

Got a reply this morning and according to them he is in plot EX-531.
Will try and send someone out to locate it but short staffed due to illness.
Didn’t provide any maps detailed or otherwise :-\

It looks like EX4 was just about to be named at the time of the map...so , hopefully will be in the North corner somewhere. I'll have a look this weekend (memory allowing) :D :D :D
