Title: Sarah “Liddel” or Liddell
Post by: scottishlad on Tuesday 04 November 25 22:10 GMT (UK)
Hello, been digging into the McKenzie line of my tree and I’ve recently stumbled upon an article regarding one of my ancestors. My 4x great grandmother was assaulted by a “Sarah Liddel or McKenzie”. The reason this is significant is she married a McKenzie, and as I thought I had completed this branch of the tree, I’m obviously missing somebody. I haven’t looked much into the nieces and nephews, and I doubt they would have been the one assaulting an aunt in law, so my first assumption is there must be a brother from this generation I’m unaware of.

(Mary) Harriett Tennant or McKenzie married Isaac McKenzie, tinsmith 1855. I have all of their info. I have the siblings and their children…etc. What I don’t have is a Sarah Liddel. I do have based on evidence the existence of a George from this generation, who would be brothers with Isaac, but no hard proof like a birth or death certificate or anything like that. So I’m assuming George married Sarah? Can’t find anything though. Can’t find anything at all on Sarah Liddel. “Liddell” gives me some hits, but no McKenzie connection that I can find. Can anyone help me find Sarah Liddel and potentially uncover a new ancestor for me? Thank you!!

You haven't given any date when the assault took place or whereabouts in Scotland.  As you have not posted on a specific Scotland county board - no clues there.

You also haven't said what kind of article you were reading or where it was accessed?  Was it a newspaper article?
