Afternoon, I'm trying to find the birth of an Alice Mary Jones or could be Mary Jones in Llanfrothen in 1887. She would have been born before June 1887. On the marriage certificate the father is named as John Jones. Would be grateful of any help. Diolch

Few more details please from marriage certificate. Date and place of marriage, who she married and both her new husbands occupation and that of her her father, Her address and age if recorded.

Llanfrothen came under Ffestiniog RD for that period
Do you know for certain she was born 1887 or are you going by her age on census entries?
Jones Births in Ffestiniog 1886 - 1888
No Mary Alice
1 x Alice 1886
14 x Mary 1886 - 1888
-
She could be late 1886. Does it show her in Llanfrothen area? She married in Llannerchymedd in 1913 with Richard Lewis where dad is down as John Jones. I can't find anything on Ancestry census which matches in 1891
-
I assume she is the 1911 entry working in Carnarvon as Mary Jones. 1913 marriage was in Anglesey
Where is she shown as Alice? If she married in 1913 she should be on the 1921 census but I can’t see an entry with that birthyear & birthplace on either the English or Welsh 1921
When did she die? If she was still alive in 1939 she should be on the 1939 register which will show her full birthdate

I think the OP has confused the mother Mary with a daughter Alice Mary born 9 April 1913 and died 16 April 1916.

What was her father's occupation on the marriage certificate,?
it will help narrow down all the John Jones with daughter named Mary

Her father's occupation when she married in 1913 was a coachman. I've found a 25 year old John Jones in Llanfrothen on the 1891 census living with his parents John Jones and Mary and his sister Annie (21). There is also a 2 year old grand daughter called Mary but no mention of a wife.
-
no mention of a wife because he's single and also not a coachman

Mary born Ffestioniog in these entries and in 1911 seems to be Mary J Evans, unless this is a different granddaughter.

It's quite confusing
