Trying to find James Kelly born 1793 Whitehaven he was a seaman/mariner married Elizabeth Stagg I have not been able to find his death. Elizabeth was married to a seaman in the 1841 census and in the 1851 census says she is a widow. I have found a James Kelly (married) who lost his life in a ship wreck in October 1846 ships name Brig Alert Captain Bowman Adamson at Fishguard. Where can I look to find more information on this James Kelly. As I cannot find his burial how can I find out if he is the James Kelly I am looking for. I cannot find Elizabeth's death either or their son Joseph's death. Your help would be appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

The newspaper article certainly implies the crew do come from Whitehaven.
I think this is what you have already seen but I link it here for the benefit of others.
