Title: year of photo Margaret Cowen
Post by: Poppy62 on Sunday 26 October 25 13:29 GMT (UK)
Good Afternoon

I have a photo of my Grandfather and Grandmother. I have been told that it might have been taken somewhere in the 1930's . I'm trying to pin point a year to as near as possible. The photo looks like it was taken at an army camp. Photo attached.

Appreciate any help
Thank you

Looks like a TF soldier or Reservist on annual camp.
He's wearing the uniform of a Scottish Regt.
In the 1930's uniforms changed to the style we associate with WW 2.
This is a WW 1 pattern.
The style of her dress is 1930's.
So 1930's before the uniform change (which was generally around mid decade).
1937 rings a bell.

Do you know who the baby is and when he/she was born?

Thank you both  for your insight.
Neale has helped before, thinking the photo was just before ww2 and pretty much backing up what you are thinking oldohiohome.

Thank you both
