hi after some advice and guidance please.

i have william wright b around 1717 lincolnshire. married eleanor bee in 1739 in waddington lincolnshire. he died 1786 in waddington. their first child i know of was b1741. now what i need help and guidance on is how to get further back on william. how do i find out his parents. any help and pointers very greatly appreciated. thank you

You need to find his baptism if you haven't got it already. It will name his father and hopefully his mother. Then look for their marriage.

Even those of us that have been researching for years would be happy to get back that far on a family line.

Does his burial state an age?
Do you have the bapts of all William/Eleanors children to establish a possible naming pattern?

Look at other Wrights buried Waddington also and sort into hopefully family groups.
Also look for marriages 5 years either side of Williams to see if any possible siblings married there also.

Be awre that William may have not been of Waddington or records have not survived that far back.

Having said all that burial has him age 68 so born c 1718

Gosh a lot of children to them 1741-1763 although not all survived.

Eleanor lived to a good age :)

I can see Bee entries back to 1600 in Waddington but Wright entries seem to start about the time of Williams Marriage to Eleanor.

Possible bapt 08 Sep 1717 for ELLEN Bee
