This is my Great Aunt Violet Gadney in the mid early 20s. Maybe 1922-ish? Its one of the only photos I have of her so I would appreciate it if somebody could clean this one up. Thank you

My try. :)

Great work :)

Thought I would give it a go.

Yes...well done Peter and RJ for reproducing a true likeness. Her descendants will appreciate that. I wish that I had more old photos but most of our family photos were destroyed in a house fire in the 1950s!

I wasn't going to comment but I do get puzzled by how an AI 'thinks'. Why give her red hair which is relatively rare compared with dark blonde say or mousey brown? She is also wearing a good thick woolly coat or possibly smooth fur, but the AI has removed her jumper - she will freeze!
-
I am confused is EpicDaxdor an AI bot or just someone using AI to produce images that look like a Hollywood version of the original image?
-
Well said Andrew.

The latter, Andrew. See this thread -

I'm curious about what people characterize as a "very old photo." To me, it would be Civil War era or earlier, or maybe just make the cut at 1870.
