Id liked to learn more about this ancestor. I think he was born in march 1885 and was married to Selma, but not for very long. Any help would be appreciated.
-
What country does this relate to please?
Do you know anything about Selma - was she English or?
-
A family tree has a marriage in 1909 to Clara Marie Selma and daughters born in 1910 & 1913
You could contact the tree owner if you have ancestry access but it has no parents or death for Hugo.
-
Thanks Millipede, that tree is probably mine. But I'm trying to find out more about their ancestors
-
This relates to Poland I believe

I'm not sure why you haven't given more background information (especially location!) based on the bits and pieces in your other posts?
I have to to assume that you already know his parents' names from his marriage certificate as well?
-
Hi treespirit, thanks for weighing in. Apologies for any misunderstanding, in my defence I'm not very tech savvy so I'm always grateful for anything that gets me there. I've been hoping that I can learn more about Hugo and his Selma's whole family. We've had a decent 2.5% DNA match from this line recently, so it means that I need to dive back into research if I want to learn more about where it fits in. I've tried reaching out to the match but getting nothing back. Hope that makes sense.

Hugo and Selma are paternal g.parents. A recent strong DNA match (2.5%) has been indicated but isn't responding to enquiries. I need to know if there are any siblings of Hugo and Selma in order to investigate further. Thanks
-
OK I understand that that 1909 marriage certificate is not needed :)
-
Thank you.
Can you perhaps help me to find their siblings details?

Thank you.

Without indices it would mean paging through 1000's of scans ...
-
OK thanks for your input anyway. I'll just have to hope that the new DNA match gets back to me with what they may have, or not.

A couple:
Max Willy Hugo Lormes born 9 Mar 1882 Liegnitz
Clara Meta Else Lormes born 4 Oct 1879 Liegnitz
Just realized that you had these names already (https://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=887051), so that was a mighty big WASTE OF TIME!

I'm so sorry you feel that way, but obtaining and then deciphering any information from Germany/Poland has been extremely difficult for me. In my 6 years of investigating paternal links, I've sent many, many enquiries out, mostly without success, and it's impossible for me to remember where the successful bits fit in. But your help is greatly appreciated nonetheless.

Treespirit: Further to your reply to me yesterday..."I have to to assume that you already know his parents' names from his marriage certificate"
I actually don't have a note of the names of Hugo's parents.
Could you kindly help me out with that?
