Title: Expat help
Post by: Newtogene on Thursday 09 October 25 10:53 BST (UK)
Hi Everyone! I am trying to find out about the lives of Barry Wallace Bruce and Georgina Stephanie Wallace Bruce ( nee Wolfe ), and their lives in South Africa, as I am happy with what I know about their lives prior to their moving to South Africa. I am now at a place where I am stuck and would really love some help.

Here is what I have  already

Barry Wallace Bruce Born 1896 - June 1956 In Johannesburg and was buried

Georgina seems to go by her middle name Stephanie  1898 -1988 Bramley House , Linden Johannesburg  buried in Randburg cemetery 4167 section ecm cause avid electrolyte

She had a famous father Dr John Reissberg Wolfe (a doctor of medicine)

Stephanie Married Barry Wallace-Bruce in Perth Scotland in 1920

I was told they went to Cape Town two days after the start of WW2

I also found the following but this is as much as I can see and can't see a way to see anything beyond the title
An item in the South African Archives
ILLIQUID CASE DAMAGES - BREACH OF CONTRACT
STEPHANIE WALLACE-BRUCE VERSUS AFRICAN ASSOCIATED NEWSPAPERS LIMITED.
Identifier: ZA TAB WLD_0_1275/1939_1
Repository: National Archives Repository (Public Records of former Transvaal Province and its predecessors, as well as of magistrates and local authorities)

Barry had been a businessman, journalist and art director.
I believe the last address for them in England was 37, 38 St James's Place prior to South Africa

Any help would be gratefully received

H Neale , that is my thread but as this was more specific search into them and away from the UK I wanted to put it in this board . Sorry if I was wrong to do so

I linked to your other thread so that RootsChatters don’t duplicate research efforts of the past. :)
