I'm trying to take my Trimnell (also Trimmell, Trimlinge) line back from Christian Malford. My 8 x gt grandparents are William Trimnell, Clothier & yeoman of Trimnell's Farm, Christian Malford (XM), d. 27, bur. XM 313/1671 (will 21/4/1671) & wife Ann (surname unknown, bur. XM 22/4/1683.
They had at least 5 sons, William, Clothier, (b.c. 1643, bur. XM 1703, m. Lucy Webb); John, Clothier (c. 1649, bur. XM 1703, m. Fridzwith Hancock); Charles, Mercer (b. c. 1650, bur. XM 1685, m. Ann Gale); Edward, bp. XM 1655; Samuell, bp. XM 1657, bur. XM 1658.
William & Lucy had Lucy, William, Elizabeth, Ann, Jane, Robert, Bridget, Edward, Charles, Mary & Samuel.
John & Fridzwith had Mary, Robert, John, Fridzwith, Robert, Thomas, Ann, Lucy, Thomas, Elizabeth & Elizabeth.
Online sources say without evidence that William senior was a son of an Edmond Trimnell & Ann Jenkins opf the "Bremhill Trimnell's", and interestngly William junior & Lucy Webb's son William had children called Michael and Arthur names prominent in the earlier Bremhill family.
There was a Michael Trimnell and his son Robert, both of Charlcote, Bremhill. Edmond was also a common name in that family.
Also William junior and John had elder sons called Robert. So I wondered if William senior's father could be a Robert of Bremhill. I feel there must be a link.
There is also a random William Trimnell, son of William, bap. Lavington 1640, but I don't know where he fits in if at all??
If anyone can shed any light on William seniors origins pre Christian Malford, please let me know.
Many thanks.

There are numerous wills of the Trimnell's of Christian Malford on ancestry.
Did they help ?

Hi amondg.
Thanks for your reply.
Yes, I have a copy of all of these relating to Trimnells in Christian Malford, including William T and wife Ann, Also William Junior and his brother Charles, sis-in-law Fridzwith, etc. Although great resources none give any indication or clues of earlier members or locations for the family. I feel their must be a connection of sorts to the Bremhill Trimnell's which includes Bishop Trimnell and his family.
The online resources say that his parents were Edmond T and Ann Jenkins from Bremhill, but there are no wills for them and I can find no concrete proof that that was the case.
