Post by: Mk2_Zephyr on Wednesday 08 October 25 10:49 BST (UK)
Recovered these histories ...

Crumbs !   Ken Orams (life stories of George and Jessie Orams) Suffolk/Shetlands.
Over 500 pages and undoubtedly a life's worth of work !

The Jelley journey  1874-2017  - Cromwell and beyond   84 pages

Hamiltons of Kilmarnock, the NZ connect   -  67 pages

Da Flittin' of the Nicolsons from Shetland and the Duthies from Kincardine   over 290 pages

Free except for postage.

This is getting worse and soon NO genealogies will exist in libraries ?  these are Not for Loan copies, whats the story ?

Which library is this?  Local, regional? national?

Ask how this fits with their stock revision policy.  Where else in NZ could the library obtain copies of these if they were required to be read in the future?  Is there a national genealogical collection which would be willing to take them - if approached?

Ask questions.  Be awkward!
