I'm researching RAWSTHORNE in and around Clapham, N. Yorkshire. I have a marriage of Jane RAWSTHORNE to Giles REDMAYNE on3 October 1727 in Clapham. Jane's place of residence is given as Annat Hill. Does anyone with local knowledge know where Annat Hill is? I've not been able to find it on any map.

Clapham was a very large parish 25,300 acres including Clapham cum Newby township 12,000 acres and Clapham hamlet 5,278 acres, in the WEST Riding. Annat Hill does not appear in the NLS gazetteers, modern or c1900. Consider variant spellings.
This is the georeferenced layer of the 6-inch survey c1850 but it would take some time to search it.

I was trying to look at the boundaries of the parish but unfortunately the Vision of Britain website is down at the moment.

I've only come up with Scotland?

I found Scotland, but if the marriage record is for Clapham it could be a locality several miles from the parish church, in dialect!

Was highly unlikely but unable to ignore - only one popping up in a range of newspapers checked
Finally got round to checking record - not easy to read
Egidius ? Redmayne, Cole Coates, parish Bentham .... Jana Rawsthorne, Annate? Hill (t is not crossed), parish Clapham

I have been trying to round up all the townships and hamlets in the parish, but unfortunately one sheet is missing from the NLS set and also from the set in British History Online. Sheet no. 114, there is only an edition from 1893 which is here:

There is a hamlet of Feizor there, and there should be another, with acreage about 481, but I can't find the name. Anyway it should be somewhere on 113, 114, 131, 132. The parish does not seem to extend beyond those sheets.
