Good morning All

I have a marriage certificate for John Baird and Jessie McGill . Im interested in what Jessie's occupation was.
Can anyone help decipher it .

I agree with ShaunJ. It might be 'cousin'.

It also might be better to ask the moderators to move this thread to the 'Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition' board for others to take a look at it.

Yes, it does look like “cousin”
Entirely possible – John Barid was the son of William Baird and Susan McGill,  and he was born at Newton Toll, Ayr.

I did think it might be cousin but doubted myself because it was in the occupation section.
