I have just published a book about James Crowley of Spernall in who was in dispute with his father William Crowley. William was so afraid of his son's violent outbursts that he hired a special constable to protect him. On Christmas day, 1842 James shot and killed the special constable.
The book should appeal to anyone interested in the Crowley Families, Victorian history, or real crime stories. It is available from Amazon or the Lulu,com bookshop.
