Title: Ancestors of Edward Foley and Rebecca Cooksey

I am trying to find the father of Edward Foley b1759 at Dudley who married Rebecca Cooksey. My search gives me a possible father Edward b 1723 who married Betty Foley. Other posters on wikitree have the father as Edward b1732 who married an Elizabeth. If this is true then my Foleys connect to the Foleys of Witley Court which I would love to prove. Can anyone help please?

If you have not been able to find a baptism for Edward  - what other evidence do you have that confirms he was actually born in Staffs - not just lived there?
