Title: Portrane graveyards
Post by: kclinch on Thursday 04 September 25 15:30 BST (UK)
John Clinch died November 14, 1948 and is reported to be interred at Portrane, North County Dublin. He had erected a headstone honoring his deceased parents and brothers at Kildavin, Co. Wexford. He is likely born 1870's. Please inform me of graveyards that would serve the population of Portrane.

The best place to start a search for North County Dublin Burials is the Buried in Fingal website (https://buried.fingal.ie/), Portrane cemetery is included however I dont see a burial for a John Clinch/Clynch in 1948

His death notice says Portrane Cemetery but as athacliath62 says he’s not in the registry book, in fact there is only one burial for 1948 listed, so either the book wasn’t being filled in or the cemetery wasn’t been used much.
I see from his death cert he was a nurse, did he work in Portrane Asylum? It had its own cemetery but I don’t know if it was used for staff and it doesn’t appear to be online anywhere, now known as St.Ita’s.

Personal I’d say he’s in Portrane Cemetery but the registry book wasn’t filled in.
