Hello,
My great grandfather Gottlob Altdorfer 1882-1946was a german pork butcher in Sunderland/Durham. He (19) lived and worked there 264 High St. W, Sunderlandat a german butcher. I could find him registered 1901. I know he was interned with his brother George Altdorfer to the Isle of man and I just found out, that George was released in 1919. Couldnīt find anything about Gottlob. But he was there same time (there is a picture in my album). So I guess they both were released together in 1919.
I have no information about him in the years 1919 to 1924. In 1925 he was back to Ulm/Germany and married there my great-grandmother. He was then 43 years old and she 34. So it could be possible, that they were matched to marry.
Does anybody know anything about him?
I know he was working for a butcher named Vogtherr. But I donīt know how long and what he did after it.
Thank you for your help

Yes, thank you. Thats the same I got. I know that George married a english woman and stayed there for good. But the traces of Gottlob somehow got lost.
