Yes I have every other record census marriage and death but no birth
-
No, I can't see a birth.
Maybe not registered. Perhaps too close to marriage of parents?
His sister Mary born in 1911 was registered.

Would he not need a birth cert when he married ( proof as to who he was ? )

Would he not need a birth cert when he married ( proof as to who he was ? )
Why would you think that? No. He would need a baptismal certificate, if he married Catholic.

Many years ago I was searching for my fathers birth cert (on line) but could not trace it, I was told by a person that he would have had to show some kind of proof to who he was before he could marry so I automaticly thought birth cert, I did find it years later after calling into many offices around Ireland .
That person was a christian brother so I thought at the time
it was true.

Even as late as 1910, many births were never registered at all. As Wexflyer says, it was sufficient to show a baptismal cert if the person was a Catholic.
