Title: MSM records from 1900
Post by: Jack TT on Friday 29 August 25 12:09 BST (UK)
Can anyone advise me as to where I can find MSM records for 1900 please.
These would be for the 1/9th foot Norfolk regiment James Dawson

Thanks.

Doubt you will find anything unless his service records gives  an explanation. There is no information in my Husband’s records as  regards the award of his MSM or of his further awards.

Only a limited number  MSM are awarded each year and the recipients have to have already earned the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal.

Thanks for the reply.
Have you heard of The Annuity MSM 1847-53?? record. The details was sent to me, apparently this  is where the record would be. I'm told this is an MSM register, trouble is I don't know where to find it!
My soldier in question, was awarded the LSGC in 1879 and apparently was awarded the MSM , annuity £10 on 17th Sept 1900.

Sorry Jack I can’t help you with that, things change over time, mine was 100 years later.
