Title: Finding details of Royal Navy vessel
Post by: Roobarb on Monday 25 August 25 17:25 BST (UK)
I'm trying to help with tracing details of Royal Navy vessels from the information given on a service record. The names of the vessels are provided and the List and Number. Would these be Lloyd's List numbers? I've had a scout through Lloyd's List but not really sure what I'm doing. The period of time is during WW1.

Can anyone please point me in the right direction? The vessel that the person I'm helping is looking for was a submarine, not sure if that makes any difference to the search. I'd appreciate any help or links that would help me.

Thanks  :)

Nothing to do with Lloyd's List.
It refers to the specific pay ledger and the individual's number within that ledger on a particular ship's account.

If you need information on a particular ship or submarine, search it online or post the name here.

Hugh
