I recently found an exciting discovery that my ancestor Henry Helsdon, worsted weaver, of Norwich, and Sarah Covell appear to apply for admin of the estate of William Covell, of Ashmanhaugh who died intestate in 1737/1738. Ashmanhaugh is just above Wroxham/Hoveton.
It is unknown what Henry's connection to William or Sarah was but William Covell wed Sarah Hagon in 1732 in Ashmanhaugh.
I believe, but not yet totally sure, that Henry Helsdon likely originated in Horsham St Faith, just above Norwich, and he was born about 1690 and married to an Elizabeth about 1713, she died in 1722 and he remarried to Susan Riches in 1725 in All Saints, Norwich. I descend from their son Dennis Helsdon born 1729 in Norwich.
The Henry Helsdon who wed Eliz Morter in 1699 in North Walsham has been discounted, a totally different couple.
My Henry Helsdon left a will in Norwich in 1750, leaving money and looms to his 3 surviving children and some money to his wife Susan Helsdon. Witnesses to the will were Mary Kingston, Henry Willis and John Sparke.
Could Henry have been connected in any way by marriage or blood to Wm Covell, or could he have also been a friend or work acquaintance who applied for admin as well as William's wife Sarah?

Possible, if you take into consideration pronunciation and how it might be heard.
There is a Henry Halstone who married Elizabeth Burcham 17 April 1699 at St George Colgate Norwich

Thanks, I shall look into that 1699 marriage.
