Hi,
I am hoping someone here can help me with a brick wall is have had for a couple of years.
William Rutherford of Easter weems, married Janet Burt of Buckhaven in the Wemyss parish church, Fife on Friday 2nd December 1736, parish number 459 ref 50/293.
They had a son William on 20th June 1742 in Wemyss, Fife.
I am stuck finding a birth or death for William (senior)
Any help is greatly appreciated

Hi no deaths for Rutherfords under Wemyss in the fife MIs pre 1855.

I note they had two other children, you could check the Kirk Session records on https://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk I note that there are also Accounts Records for the Parish, over a number of years. They record Mortcloth money for the person deceased.
