Hi,
I've a lot of info on James L. Hutton, my great grandfather, but have been unable to get a specific death date, even via ancestry searches.
He lived in Devizes (4 Lansdown Terrace, builders clerk 1921 census.) and my great grandmother Daisy Violetta, died there in 1957.
He was originally from West Kirksby (b. 24th Jul 1880) and it is possible he may have returned up there. I'm even wondering if they separated.
Could someone do a lookup for Devizes for me for a possible death date? This is one of those niggly things I just can't get around, many thanks!

Have you taken a look at this one ? Perhaps to early for your James ??? Would have meant he passed before Daisy.

It might be worth an email to Westmorland and Furness bereavement services to see if they can clarify if that is your James. Try this email address.

A tree on Ancestry has his death as above plus headstone photo.
Grave is that of his sister & brother in law

It is possible to get that death certificate as a digital copy for £3 from the GRO website

Bereavement services would be able to let you know where the burial or cremation took place,
Who may have bought a grave plot, if it was a burial and whether it has a headstone etc etc.,

This is part of the information I have, including the headstone and links to the tree mentioned on ancestry. Knowing what I do of the family, it just felt really strange that he was buried back up there! I do believe this is the right one. I was just trying to rule out Devizes completely!
I've been able to get so many specific dates from registers on Ancestry it has also felt odd I can't be more specific for this!

Possibly a phone call or £3 for the death certificate to confirm or discount.

On the marriage announcement for son Frederick Basil in 1939, he is noted as third son of Mrs Hutton of Lansdowne Crescent. No mention of father.
