Hi,
I have John THOMSON , 22 in 1812 , son of Edward THOMSON and Mary HOWARD, he was made prisonner during the napoleonic wars. He married in Bitche (Moselle) were he was staying.
Is it possible to find more infos on his ancestors?

No birth/baptism record for a son John on Lancs OPC

Were they perhaps Catholic?
Lancashire on line Parish Clerk abbreviated to Lancs OPC has a great many Lancashire Records
very few Catholic records are on line.

I can't say if he was a catholic , french registers don't mention the religion after 1790.
Added: he is said to be an english sailor made prisonner and sent in Bitche.
