I am looking for the parents and siblings of Susan Justin born Clonanny, Near Portarlington in 1855 she married Charles Matthews at Lea Church 01.04.1880. Not sure if it was the old COI church, or the new one. All help would be much appreciated.

Start with her marriage

Her father was Richard a farmer.

Thomas’ full name may have been George Thomas

Hi Lance,
I actually live in Lea myself not far from Clonanny.
I was looking at the Griffiths Valuations and I can see a Richard Jestin in Clonanny.I could take a spin up to the graveyard if youd like to see if I can find some of your family.

Thank you. Will spend time tomorrow going through all the information given. I think the Justins farmed in Clonanny for generations,

Richard JESTIN in the Griffith's Valuation of 1851 for Queen's County (Laois).

I was trying to follow up on the H Justin witness.
Not at all sure about this man but worth noting at least
Henry Edward Justin a widower married Emma Sexton in 1892 father Richard
https://www.irishgenealogy.ie/files/civil/marriage_returns/marriages_1892/10626/5871376.pdf
Hist first marriage was 1878 to Mary Ann Watson
BUT in 1901 he is born Kildare
https://census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/King_s_Co_/Clonbulloge/Clonbulloge/1464951/
There is a marriage license in Kildare in 1841 for a Richard Justin and Sarah Thompson
https://census.nationalarchives.ie/reels/dm/IRE_DIOC_007246535_00092.pdf
Speculation, Sarah Thompson is the Sarah Justin who died 1876 and she gave birth to some of her children in her parents home in Kildare.
Added Henry died 1908 and there is a report of his funeral in the Leinster Leader, it’s a bit limited information wise but gives his brothers as Richard, Samuel and Thomas.
No mention of a woman, not even his wife or daughter.
His sons HJ, William, HS and Herbert.

Great information and appreciate all the help you have all given to this project.

It looks like Richard Justin b 1814 d 1904 Mountmellick is the father of Susan Justin. In the 1901 census she is shown as living at house 4 in Glebe East (Geashill, King's County) with her husband Charles Matthews and children Jane, William, Susan, Sarah and John. Samuel Justin, the brother of Susan Justin, is shown as visitor on the census records born 1851

Samuel Justin, the brother of Susan Justin, is shown as visitor on the census records born 1851
Samuel Justin a farmer died 26 April 1924 at Clonanny, Portarlington. His niece Susan Justin was the informant.

looking at the 1901 census for Clonanny there ia a Susan Justin, born 1844 and a Thomas Justin born 1848 shown as a widower and his father is Richard Justin born 1814
-
I think you mean 1884 for Susan, that census is in reply #2
As you mentioned Samuel in 1901 is with the Matthews
https://census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/King_s_Co_/Geashill/Glebe_East/1470318/
and in 1911 he's with Thomas

I think this could be the other brother Richard in Dublin
Marriage 1867 father Richard
https://www.irishgenealogy.ie/files/civil/marriage_returns/marriages_1867/11497/8227020.pdf
1901 born Queens
https://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Dublin/Rathmines___Rathgar_East/Ontario_Terrace/1293620/
1911
https://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Dublin/Rathmines___Rathgar_East/Ontario_Terrace/51097/
Death 1926

That would (hopefully) account for all the brother's at Henry funeral, just that sticker of Henry saying he was born Kildare.
