Hi,
Henry Masters was married, as a widower age 34, on 11th June 1848, at St Mildred Whippingham, to Mary Ann Ison. (Hyson?) Father William.
Mary Ann was born c1817 at Hinckley Leicestershire.
If anyone can find me her father's occupation or her mother's name I'll be very grateful.
Marienne

I neglected to add her name Sarah Jane bap. 3 July 1826

Is her father’s occupation not listed on the marriage certificate? Or was he deceased by then?
-
Did the marriage information come from family search. I cannot see the full certificate anywhere so you may have to purchase it
-
Thank you all who so quickly replied.
I don't have that certificate and there are two possibilities so I was hoping someone may have the marriage certificate.
The tree on FS has a couple of errors and I need to be 100%.
i have pretty much eliminated the William & Ann (shoemaker father & family,) but can't confirm the bricklayer. (William & Jane)
I 'll see about the certificate next.
thanks again to all.

Image has surname as Hyson, confirms William was bricklayer.

Sarah Jane seems to have been baptised again on 11 July 1847 at Hinckley (as Ireson). Birthdate recorded as 16 June 1826, on same day her brother William was baptised his birth was on 16 Dec 1822 (which fills gap nicely between Mary Ann and Sarah Jane).
That would be a year before Mary Ann married on IOW

William snr left a will, mentions wife Jane, son William jnr, daughter Sarah Jane, but not Mary Ann. But maybe that was because she was married by then
-
Looks like we probably have the wrong family - There is a burial in Hinckley 24th March 1839 - Mary Ann Ireson age 23.
IRESON, MARY ANN age 23

A William (shoemaker ) / Ann couple were mentioned earlier, but eliminated. Is that just because their daughter was Mary not Mary Ann? Many people acquire a middle name in later life, my family have form for it. Probably because it was considered posh.

To be sure get a copy of the death certificate, see who reported the death and the address.
Then you will know if it's the daughter of William and Ann or William and Jane.

A big thank you to all who have replied.
I have all the births & baptisms & most census records but will now find the marriage cert in 1848 as I really only need to know what "my" Mary Ann's Father's occupation was so I know I have the correct family. Bit more difficult being in OZ, but definitely doable online.
All your replies are valued & I will put them into the "maybe " files until I can finally solve it.
I shall close the query for now and Thank You all once again.
