Camlachie, Glasgow in the 1921 census, Sarah Jane Irvine nee Russell age 31 has several children  from her first marriage (to James Irving in 1906?) listed as Irvine.  (please ignore second marriage to Davenport and son Francis from it).

Can anyone confirm birth and death for James Irvine (Sarah's first husband married in Glasgow 1906 ?)

One possible death in Glasgow of a James Irving, age 85 in 1970; He was 25 in 1911 census in Camlachie
Another death in 1916, Dennistoun, age 30, mmn Young. He was born Calton, 1885

Sarah married her second husband in 1919 (please ignore this event). 1921 census lists several Irvine children from first marriage to James Irvine. Sarah Jane Irvine nee Russell lived at 41 St. (unreadable) Street, Glasgow in 1919.

On the 1911 census in Camlachie, James, 25, Sarah, 23, James, 4, & William, 1.

Added:

On 1891 census in Calton, James, age 6, with parents James, 42, Margaret, 40 & 4 siblings. James parents were married in Tradeston, 1873

What happened to James Irvine from 1911 onwards ? Killed in war perhaps ?

As per reply 3 above, he died in 1916, Dennistoun, not in the war. If you buy credits, you can view his death record. TB was very common at that time.

Thanks for confirmation. I have looked on SP for James Irvine's parents ,  they are James 42 and Margaret 40 on 1891 census as kindly listed earlier in this thread with the James at age 6.
Several possibles for mmn Moore, McBride, Bowie, working through.
