Title: Latin name/word before surname
Post by: Wayne N on Sunday 03 August 25 13:14 BST (UK)
What is this word or name indicated by a caret before the surname Spurstow (and at the end of line 6)?

The probate can be found here:

et unius executorum in h(uius)m(o)di testamento nominatorum.

I think it's ... or. sic (= 'the original thus'), meaning that space for the name was also left blank in the original from which he was copying.
