Title: Advice on Winnipeg deaths
Post by: specialkg on Friday 01 August 25 15:23 BST (UK)
Hi

I recently requested a death certificate from Manitoba Vital Stats for a great uncle who died in Winnipeg in 1937. I received the certificate today and was a bit disappointed to find there was no more information than what you see free of charge. Is there another form of certificate that would give me the cause of death. I ordered a certificate several years back and there was a lot of information on it. In Scotland our certificates indicate cause of death, parents and who registered death. Also address.

Any help with finding the cause of death of my relation would be much appreciated. He was only 37 years old.

Thanks
Betty

That's disappointing for you.  Some reports say it should include a cause of death and others don't say so I can't honestly answer that question.,

Have we looked for a newspaper report or obituary for him ?

Hi Sandra

Thanks for your reply. I have exhausted all the usual paths. The only thing that is missing in my research is the cause of death.

Thanks
