I was emailed this image at the start of this century and hope that new programmes can get rid of the creases and additionally show a few faces as currently I cannot recognize my late dzd's oldest brother John.
-
It is an attempt to reconstruct the image rather than a restoration process. The facial features are not clear at all, and the size of the image is very small, containing only a general frame of the contents.

I am overwhelmed !!! Thank you so much !!
I did wonder about the size when I realised that I didn't need to minimize the original but it did look so large on my computer.
The person who emailed me the image was my Uncle John's grand daughter and I bet she will be overwhelmed too as there aren't many photos of him about, because he was the one in the family with the camera. lol.
I look forward to downloading and putting a colpy in my old fashioned photo album.
Once again - thank you

Nicely Done- :)
The individuals look like the ones in the original. Also, the clothing is the same as in the original with some wearing ties and some not, plus the condition and wear and tear of the cloths varies with the individuals instead of all appearing new and just off the rack. It fits 1929.
Nicely cleaned up and enhanced as much as possible with what given to work with.

Peter, A really fine restoration, which keeps intact the historic accuracy of the image.
Work clothes and boots of the men remain, rather than giving them modern dress suits, and faces are clearer without changing them.
The integrity of the building behind has also been kept intact.

Hi Peter,
Thank you so much for giving your time to this old photo I appreciate your effort getting rid of the creasing plus restoring physical appearances, etc.
I like both of the images. My uncle is standing at the back, third from the left and I had a shock when I saw him as in a previous photo taken when he and his teenage brothers had a family portrait taken after their young sister died of food poisoning, he had a mop of fair hair.
Once again, ta ever so .... and now to trot over to the technical board to discover why my computer is showing grey pages instead of white pages.

Hello again Peter,
I've emailed the two images to John's grand daughter and she is very pleased. Like me she prefers the sepia image.
As for the grey screen, I surfed and discovered that others had had the same problems but in different years. Apparently the culprit was Microsoft and their drivers. I took no acition and the white screen eventually returned.
Thank you once again for taking time and energy to upgrade the image I uploaded. Your expertise is much appreciated.
