Hi,

I am looking for some help finding info on Thomas Irwin. He was married to Mary Caden and married on the twenty seventh of January 1872 in Moygownagh church. According to their marriage record, Thomas' father was also named Thomas and Mary's father was called Michael. I haven't been able to find a baptism for Thomas and I think I found one for Mary dated 1841, but I am unsure if it is her. I found a marriage record between a Michael Caden and Mary Walsh in Crossmolina but I don't know if it is the right one! I checked IrishGenealogy.ie but I didn't find anything on Thomas' birth as according to the Census' he was born in or around 1830. They lived in Kilfan, Forrew during the Census's, both 1901 and 1911.

Any help would be massively appreciated! I am just looking for any help really and just to verify and find out anything at all.  :)

Hi,

If I'm looking a the right censuses Thomas changes his DOB between 1901 and 1911. In 1901 he is 62 but by 1911 he has aged 19 years and is 81, giving a DOB range of 1830 to 1839.

Have you tried looking through these?

I checked IrishGenealogy.ie but I didn't find anything on Thomas' birth as according to the Census' he was born in or around 1830.

Civil registration of births in Ireland started in 1864.
What civil records are online?

Thomas is a widower and he and his father are Coopers. His residence may be Knockananny, difficult to read, which borders Forrew.
