Fred Keen died in 1901/1902 I didn’t find a marriage certificate of Fred and Selina. The children were taken into care after their deaths.
Emily must have died between 1891 and 1896. Thank you for any help at locating a record of when she died, Its Emily who is a relative of my husbands.

If she had died - Fred would have been free to marry Selina but does not appear to have done so.
Could be that Fred left Emily & took up with Selina
Have you looked for Emily in 1901 - although she may also have been living with somebody under a different surname
-
Neither Fred nor Emily were exactly young when they married - she was 35 & he was 40. If she was unable to have children - Selina was 18 yrs younger than Fred

There is an article about the death of Frederick KEEN, 54, general labourer of 4 Doon St, Lambeth in 1902. It mentions his wife died the previous August and he had 4 children, all being taken care of by different people. No mention of a previous marriage. He left a note, but again it doesn't mention his previous wife at all.

Thank you for all the information, greatly received. I was looking into the possibility that Emily remarried as her first husband dyed in Jan 1902 left her every opportunity to marry legally. There are a lot of Ancestry Trees that have got bits of this family in them mixed in with others of the same name. Fortunately Frederick or Fred came from Stanford, Berkshire. And all his records record this which, makes him easy to follow. The Hart family came from Borough's of Lambeth and Southwark. I will also look into the info on the 1881 census which looks promising. The children had interesting lives, the youngest was shipped of to Canada when he was about 10 with lots of other orphans. The eldest immigrated to Canada where she married. Interesting though her parent’s names were not recorded on her marriage certificate.

Info only, Robert & Emily appear together on 1921 census. On FindMyPast he is recorded as a Cookers Labourer--should read Cooper's Lab.
