Title: THOMAS HENRY BRADY 1921
Post by: trevalyn on Wednesday 16 July 25 14:52 BST (UK)
This may be an impossible search!
THOMAS HENRY BRADY,  T/9432,  died on 3 April 1921 while serving with the Royal Army Service Corps. Aged 20, he died in the Belfast Military Hospital, Clifton Street. His father was John Brady.
Beyond that, I have no information.
I would be most grateful to anyone who can come up with any clues as to where he came from and, ultimately, where he is buried.

Just to be clear - the burial record I am looking for is that for Thomas (Henry) Brady who died in the Belfast Military Hospital, Clifton Street on 3 April 1921, aged 20.
His middle name is a bit of a mystery; it appears in some records, not in others.

What records do you already have? when/where does middle name Henry appear?
How do you know his father was John Brady?

How do you know his father was John Brady?

The register of soldiers' effects names his father as John.

Found this online-
https://www.cairogang.com/soldiers-killed/brady-th/th-brady.html

Possible birth in England-
A/J 1901 BRADY    Thomas Henry        Barrow F.    8e   793 mmn- Bannister

1899 marriage in same registration district- Joseph Brady (Elizabeth Bannister on same page)

Family in 1911 Census- https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:X9KH-7WH?lang=en

Unfortunately father listed in record is John not Joseph  :-\

Which only works if you have an Ancestry subscription. Is if the same as the record I posted link to earlier?

Possible death for the Thomas Henry Brady in Barrow-in-Furness district which I posted earlier (father Joseph not John)-

As he was suffering from otitis media (middle ear infection) a death in the Benn's ENT Hospital seems plausible https://greatplacenorthbelfast.com/project/a-street-through-time-benn-hospital/

but there was a hospital in the barracks https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Insurance_Plan_of_Belfast_Vol._2;_Key_Plan_(BL_146837).tiff

Thanks, everybody. I will check with Barrow-in Furness for any trace of burial and post the outcome.

I think Aghadowey was clarifying the Barrow person was someone else.

Is not buried in he City Cemetery and unlisted in Shankill cemetery (incomplete). The body may have been returned to father. Per the Effects entry his account was managed at Woolwich.

Using Findmypast the 4 or 5 Thomas Brady's with father John on 1911 census in England all seem to be alive 1921 still with parents per their suggested records (the Barrow Thomas married with wife Agnes).
The Thomas Henry born Durham Q1 1902 died same quarter.
