Yes, I don’t believe the 1933 marriage is correct.
What did you think about that death?

I cant recall her being mentioned to be honest however the smiths side with my Grandmother Sarah ellen Smith Nee lowe not even being able to be found when i sent off to Sheffield registry office is so strange!
I just cant seem to find any openings on certain people.
I do wonder though if Florence did pass away.

You can buy a jpeg of that death in 1923 for £3 , immediate download.

(And have to hope that whoever it was died at a home address, or that the death was notified by a known relative.)

Re Sarah Ellen
What does the marriage to Walter Smith (which wasn’t until 1917) tell you?
Who does she name as her father?

its tells me she wasnt his housekeeper! ;)
Father Albert Law/Lowe Sheffield
Mother Annie Roebuck Helliwell step father Roebuck so i suspect she was born before her mother married.

Can you please write out that information exactly as it is on the certificate? Including the names of the witnesses
Is her mother a witness?
Ok, I think I understand what you were saying,
So this is the birth
LAW, SARAH ELLEN HELLIWELL
GRO Reference: 1887 J Quarter in SHEFFIELD Volume 09C Page 505
And you don’t need any info about her at all.

My Grandmother above was a mystery she died when i was 4.
She had a brother Joseph Lowe then when her father Albert Law/Lowe died her mother Annie Roebuck married again to Joseph Hayes and they went on to have more children on the census it says Sarah and Joseph step children to Joseph Hayes.
Then on the 1901 census Annies Brother Luther is down as having adopted Sarah Ellen...so its all very confusing i just need one of the Lowes/Law depending how it was said in a yorkshire accent although 99% sure its Lowe to give me an opening into that side of the family :o
