Title: Dennison (many aliases)
Post by: mickawinn on Friday 04 July 25 17:54 BST (UK)
I believe that Police Gazette Vol III case no 405 has a picture of my criminal relative. Can someone direct me to the best place to view this item if it is online? I have never used this resource.

What year?
The Police Gazette began in 1772!

Unfortunately I wasn’t given a date, assumed that there would only be one Vol III. His criminal career started in 1893 and the last conviction I can find was 1930. I believe the reference will be to the earlier years of his offending possibly early 1900s. Looks as though I will have to try and find more info. I believe that the reference was taken from one of the Habitual offenders listings.

On Findmypast

In September 8th 1916. Edition
There is mention of a Henry DENNISON alias John RUSSELL, Frederick  SIMMONS, James RUTLAND, Henry MARSH, Henry HOLLAND and Henry WALKER in Volume 3 but for a picture you require Supplement A which  I can’t see  the  on the website.

I don’t recognise any of the aliases although I think Henry Dennison was one.

The National Archives seem to have it, but it's not yet digitised
