Hello!
I have an ancestor called John Brett who died in 1599 in Kenardington in Kent.
On the index site for the PCC Wills I can see the references for the will and inventory which are:
Will: PRC/17/51/378 [PRC/16/114 B/11] the latter seems to be a previous reference
Inventory: PRC/10/30/62
I have a subscription to Ancestry which in theory has the PCC wills for this period but I simply cannot find them at all on the site. Can anyone else find them please?
Thank you in advance

This isn't a PCC will, and it won't be on Ancestry. It was proved in the Archdeaconry Court of Canterbury, not the Prerogative Court, so you will have to order a copy from Kent Archives.

Ah - that explains it!
I was a bit surprised when my tree took a turn to Kent - it's nearly all northern - so I'm still getting up to speed.
Thank you for your help and the links
